Yoga Nidra - The Ultimate Tool towards Wholeness

My journey of meditation began in 1994 with a more consistent practice since 1999. Even though I experienced various meditation forms, my most favorite is Yoga Nidra, also known as "yogic sleep". Yoga Nidra is a Tantric practice and a specific sequence of guided meditations to lead one systematically through each element of being (koshas) from the gross to the subtle layers including physical, energetic, mental, emotional, intuitive and spiritual towards a state of complete serenity and awareness.

Before I practiced Yoga Nidra regularly I felt unclear of my direction and rushing through my life too often. Now I practice Yoga Nidra daily each morning and most evenings. It is part of my daily routine to keep me feeling whole and complete. As a Mom, I found Yoga Nidra to be the "Ultimate Tool" to nurture 'Me'. I get to rest, restore and replenish. I have experienced many types of meditation over the years but none heal all the different elements and systems of the mind, body and spirit the way Yoga Nidra does.

I enter each day feeling more balanced, centered, and grounded. I flow easily from one activity to the next effortlessly. Old patterns have leveled out and if they do show up, I find I am better able to deal with them with much more grace and better able to respond rather than react.

I often lead my son in Yoga Nidra and feel grateful to share this gift with him, knowing I am cultivating a lasting effect on his whole being. In return he leads me in Yoga Nidra! It becomes a fun and enjoyable experience for both of us.

By practicing Yoga Nidra, I feel more deeply connected to myself, more inner joy, completely balanced and nurtured with access to my inner calm and my true nature.
